Krupa was nominated for the award by Rocky River’s Normandy Care Center, where she helps train staff.

“We’re so proud of Jennifer and her accomplishment,” said Tammy Danilovic, Activities Director for Normandy Care Center, who nominated Krupa.

Krupa works with the Normandy in her role as a consultant serving many Northeast Ohio skilled nursing facilities and teaches training classes for Activity Professionals at these facilities.

In addition, she serves as the Program Coordinator for the Center for Lifelong Learning at Lorain County Community College where she coordinates the educational classes and trips for students over 50. Previously, Krupa spent 21 years in long term care as an Activity Director. She is co-author of “Activities Keep Me Going & Going (Volumes A & B),” which are used nationally for the modular education program for Activity Professionals.

She holds several key certifications in her field including: Activity Consultant Board Certified with the National Association of Activity Professionals Credentialing Center, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and Certified Alzheimer’s Disease Dementia Care Trainer with the National Certification Council of Dementia Practitioners.

Krupa grew up in Weirton, West Va., northwest of Steubenville, Ohio. She graduated from Salem College with an Art Therapy degree. She is married to Michael Krupa and the couple has two college-age daughters, Colleen and Cassidy.
